Rick Armstrong has continued his dominant run in New Zealand motorsport, claiming the Summerset GT New Zealand Championship for a third consecutive year.
The title was decided in dramatic fashion at Ruapuna over the weekend, where Armstrong edged out fellow Porsche driver Nigel Cromie by 92 points after a tightly contested final race of the season. Sam Fillmore rounded out the championship podium in third.
Adding to an already standout season, Armstrong also secured the Porsche Endurance Trophy New Zealand title for the second time, further cementing his position at the top of the field.
It marks another exceptional year for Armstrong, who delivered consistent performances throughout the championship and was rarely off the podium. A key highlight came at Round 3 at Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell, where he achieved a clean sweep across the weekend.
Armstrong’s continued success reinforces his reputation as one of the leading figures in New Zealand GT racing, with three consecutive titles underscoring both his pace and consistency at the highest level.
