Armstrong’s is proud to partner with the Wellington Rugby Football Union, supporting an organisation that plays an important role in communities across the Wellington region.

For Armstrong’s, this partnership is about being involved in the community we serve. It is an opportunity to support the players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters who help make Wellington rugby possible.

Wellington Rugby is built around 23 member clubs and affiliate bodies. Each has its own local identity, community and dedicated volunteers contributing to the game across the region.

Helping keep Wellington Rugby moving

As part of the partnership, the Wellington Rugby Football Union is currently driving a BAIC B30 for its day-to-day travel across the region. A Peugeot Partner van is also supporting the union behind the scenes. The van is used to transport training gear and equipment between training sessions, matches and other rugby activities.

Together, the vehicles provide practical support for WRFU’s everyday operations. The BAIC B30 helps its people travel throughout Wellington, while the Peugeot van provides the space needed to move essential equipment.

It is a simple but valuable way for Armstrong’s to help keep Wellington Rugby moving, both on and off the field.

Meet the Wellington Lions at Armstrong’s BAIC Wellington

To celebrate the partnership, Armstrong’s BAIC Wellington is inviting families and rugby supporters to a special meet-and-greet with members of the Wellington Lions.

The event will take place on Saturday 1 August 2026 from 9am to 10am at Armstrong’s BAIC Wellington, 71 Kent Terrace, Mt Victoria.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the players, take photos and collect signatures.

Those attending can also enter the draw for the opportunity to become a ball runner at the televised Wellington Lions match on 30 August. The draw is open to children aged six years and over. Attendance at the event and parent or guardian consent are required.
