WLTP Fuel Consumption – The actual autonomy may be strongly different and may vary according to: optional equipment, conditions of use of the car (driving style, speed, total weight of the vehicle, etc.), use of certain equipment (air conditioning, heating, etc.), tire types, road conditions, external climatic conditions.
How does the WLTP work?
The range of an electric car according to the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) is measured under standardized laboratory conditions. The test simulates a mixed route including city, road, and highway driving, with variations in speed and acceleration.
It lasts 30 minutes and covers about 23 km, with a controlled temperature of around 23°C. The range is calculated by measuring energy consumption (kWh/100 km) and the total battery capacity. However, in real-world conditions, factors such as weather, driving style, and air conditioning use can reduce this range.
