The Defender range continues to evolve with the introduction of Model Year 2026, bringing refined engineering, enhanced performance, and subtle design updates across the line-up.
The new D350 powertrain replaces the D300, producing an additional 50PS (36kW) for a total output of 350PS. Available in 110 and 130 X-Dynamic SE and HSE derivatives, the upgraded unit delivers improved efficiency, torque response, and long-distance composure.
Exterior updates include redesigned bonnet inserts and side vents that align with the new headlamp geometry, while the front and rear bumpers have been re-profiled for improved aerodynamics and debris management. Darkened flush taillights enhance visibility and reduce dirt accumulation — a functional improvement consistent with Defender’s all-terrain DNA.
A Gloss Black grille bar and darkened Land Rover oval are now standard across all derivatives, complementing two new core finishes — Borasco Grey and Woolstone Green — which replace Silicon Silver and Pangea Green in the simplified paint palette.
Inside, the 13.1” Pivi Pro touchscreen is now standard, replacing the previous 11.4” unit and providing faster response and improved interface design. The gear selector has been re-angled for more ergonomic interaction with the new screen layout.
Driver technology has been advanced through the addition of:
Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control – automatically adjusts speed up to 30km/h based on terrain roughness and incline.
Driver Attention Monitor – a new camera-based system that tracks eye movement and provides alerts when fatigue or distraction is detected.
Enhanced Wiper Technology – wipers now rest within the heated area of the windscreen to prevent freezing and improve performance in cold conditions.
Interior refinement continues with contrasting centre seat options across selected trims and materials, providing a more defined aesthetic without compromising durability.
The Defender OCTA also introduces an exclusive Sargasso Blue exterior colour and a new Textured Graphite trim finish, replacing Satin Moonlight, further emphasising the OCTA’s dual role as both a high-performance and precision-engineered off-road vehicle.
